Those were the days…
November 18, 2009
Everywhere I look there is a mess or someone making a mess. Over the last year I have been cured of compulsive cleaning, (I just don’t have the time to be compulsive let alone clean) school, work, parenting, ect. etc. seems to be a cure-all for “those” kind of issues. Today I am mad, annoyed and frustrated that my house is in a constant state of messiness! I miss, in fact long for the fruit of compulsive cleaning. To be able to sit on my coach, at my computer or even walk down the hall and smell the smell only bleach can bring to a home and see an immaculate house. O those were the days! No such luck, as I look around all I see is work needing to be done, something to be cleaned, or a pile to be picked up. Not because of compulsive issues but because I have simply ran out of time and I just can’t do it all anymore~

I can relate completely. A clean house is a place I can relax in. Without the time to clean, I find myself in a state of denial about the house. I can live in it for a time in disorder as long as I don’t think about it too much. For me, the satisfaction in a clean house is when I get to come home to it instead of a mess. I try to ignore never ending mess for lack of the time to clean it. These days its comes down to priorities – do I get to work as soon as possible after the kids are off to school and try to get ahead in the business, building a future for my family and increasing business or do I stay at home and get the cleaning done?

This is exactly what I’ve been saying.

One mom’s dirty is another mom’s clean. Just remember that.

May I suggest three able little bodies? Mommies were never meant to “do it all”… Just 2 cents.

Oh I feel your pain! I attempt to have a “cleaning day” on Fridays when Saben is at preschool and Reven and I don’t have an activity. However, cleaning with an eighteen month old is a huge fiasco…I don’t usually manage to get more than laundry and general picking up done….sigh.
